Thanks to its RF expertise
gained in the harsh environment of the transportation market, ASK
has developed a comprehensive range of products to address the transportation
market, access control and multi-purpose applications and e-Government
requirements for people identification. ASK has also developed a full
range of products for the emerging RFID market for object identification,
traceability and secure documents. ASK range includes contactless
paper tickets, cards, OEM readers, terminals and RFID labels. ASK
contactless products are based on the finalized or ongoing ISO standards,
including the Calypso standard for transportation and EPC standard
for RFID.
ASK develops the Card Operating System and provides Security Access
Modules to certify the secure communication between card and reader. |

U-SPID
is a range of UHF cards dedicated to the eID market.

It has been developed to answer
any application that requires high throughput at a long range such
as border crossing, parking and building access control or vehicle
identification. U-SPID is based on a unique silver ink printed antenna

Contacless media
shielding : PrivaC.
range

ASKs PrivaC. range is a shielding paper that disrupts
the RF functionality of contactless medias chips. It offers
data protection against fraudulent RF reading into contactless cards,
tickets and eID documents. Based on ASK technology of silver ink printed
antenna on paper, the PrivaC. range comes as a unique solution
for privacy protection and a great marketing tool thanks to the graphical
personalization feature. Low cost, user-friendly, ultra-thin, the
PrivaC. range is also environment-friendly and is available
in different form-factors to adapt to current and future needs.

PrivaC.ticket received the Sesames award of the Best Banking
/ Finance / Retail Application at Cartes 2006. |

Dual interface
(contact/contactless) microprocessor
smart cards

These microprocessor cards have
the largest memory capacity and therefore have the greatest functionality.
Several cards are offered depending on the specific needs of the client.
They are all compatible with one another. Multiple types of applications
can be included on a card such as: loyalty schemes, holder information,
city services, e-purse, parking and banking applications. Additional
memory is also required for greater levels of security.

Two of these
cards, GTML2 and CT2000 have been certified
EAL1+, an industry first in teleticketing applications.

Mifare
cards

These cards are single contactless interface.
They use a wired logic chip. ASK offers them as an intermediary solution
between the highly functional cards and the low cost paper tickets.

Contactless
paper tickets: C.ticket®

In order to address the needs in mass
transit for short-term or multiple trip tickets with the best cost
vs. security ratio, ASK developed the C.ticket product range. Unlike
the plastic-based microprocessor and Mifare memory cards, these tickets are
entirely made of paper, providing a new marketing tool for event sponsoring.
In addition, they include wired logic chips with five different memory
sizes and security levels, so that any application can use them. Operators
are now offered a solution to offer all their travellers a contactless
medium. C.ticket is also the perfect solution for occasional users
such as visitors in entertainment parks, museums, stadiums or corporate
buildings. |

RFID
smart paper labels: C.label®

Based on the same unique manufacturing
process as C.ticket, the C.label® range of products offers ISO
14443, ISO15693, ISO18000, UHF and EPC compliant RFID smart labels
for all identification and tracking applications. These labels are
available in different form-factors and sizes in order to be implemented
in such diverse applications as tracking cases, pallets and products
in supply chain, asset protection in libraries. |

Security: Smart Paper ID
solution

Smart Paper ID is a specific
solution dedicated to passports, visas, ID documents or driving licences.
Thanks to microprocessor chips with a memory size up to 64Kbytes of
EEPROM and equipped with an ICAO compliant OS, personal data and biometric
information can be safely stored next to certificates. SPID is the
thinnest e-ID solution available on the market, the RF antenna directly
printed onto the substrate offers outstanding mechanical characteristics
and adds physical security to the document. SPID has been awarded
the IT security Sesame in November 2004. With ID documents based on
the ASK Smart Paper ID, citizens and governments can benefit from
a state of the art technology contributing to a safer environment
for all of us.

Couplers (Reader
Interfaces)

In addition to the cards and tickets
ASK designs the couplers to communicate with them. Contrary to other
"dumb" terminals, ASK's couplers have a built-in coupler
controller software supporting the full range of ASK cards and tickets,
facilitating the development by system integrators of solutions based
on our products. ASK offers a range of hand-held readers and specific
hand-held readers C.Scan
for RFID data capture. |
